Mets Junior Reporter

During the 2017 Mets season, I applied to be a Mets Junior Reporter. After a long interview process, I was selected to conduct an interview with Mets Pitcher Josh Smoker who was broadcasting live during the Mets game against the Miami Marlins. The following year, I was fortunate enough to be asked to return and continue working with the Mets as a Junior Broadcaster.

During the 2018 season, I interviewed Mets Pitcher Zack Wheeler and during the 2019 season, I interviewed Mets 3rd Baseman J. D. Davis. Both interviews were broadcasted live in their entirety before the games, and edited versions were broadcast during the games. I researched the best possible questions beforehand for informational and entertainment purposes to keep the interviews lighthearted.

Beyond the Boardwalk

"Beyond the Boardwalk" is a documentary about rehabilitating Shannon Siegel, a formerly incarcerated man, into society through a common love of baseball. Shannon spent his last 20-25 years trying to compensate for a drunken mistake he had committed when he was a teenager. Shannon was my assistant baseball coach for about five years before he passed away.

To this day, Shannon's story inspires me to be always responsible for my actions. This led me to become a peer mentor for incoming high school students, warning them about the dangers of teenage alcohol usage.

I worked very closely with the production team on the final documentary. Below is an interview of me during the time that Shannon was my coach. The full documentary is available on the Madison Square Garden Broadcasting channel.

Gas prices are at all time highs. I recently stopped at 4 gas stations on Atherton Street in State College, PA.

"Gas prices today are taking a financial toll on college students since they are already worrying about what the stuff they spend their money on, like housing, room & board, tuition and even food" a Penn State Student.

Tyler Dickinson, another Penn State student comments on the rise in gas prices, "My family personally used to take multiple trips to the store a week, but now because gas is so expensive, we've had to consolidate how many times we go and we need to plan our trips ahead of time. And for example, over Spring break my parents came to pick me up, gas was around $4.00, by the time we got back home that night, it was up $0.60."
